A little bit about me and how I came to create 'Sensory Magic'

My name is Allison, I am a support worker and have worked in some form with children and adults with disabilities for over 10 years.

I have an enhanced DBS, which is on the update system, if you need confirmation, please request via email or visit government website for DBS checks.

In addition to being a support worker, I have also managed a Sports Centre for many years. This is where I started a trampoline club and started coaching trampoline sessions for disabilities.

Even then, I found it extremely disappointing how little there was on offer for people with disabilities.

For the past 6 years I have been a support worker for both children and adults, teaching life skills and supporting whatever their individual needs maybe. It has always been a challenge to find areas where they can engage and be themselves.

With this in mind, and the effects of Covid-19, I decided to create a space for all, with or without disabilities, where families, support workers, groups and professionals may access, with no prejudices.

I hope you will come and enjoy this space in all forms.
